The German-Chinese Business Association (DCW) will help you prepare your first steps

The DCW is an initiative with German and Chinese members which organizes an intensive exchange of thoughts and experiences between all institutions and companies interested in doing business in China. Thus everyone can play a successful part in the development of this important market.

The DCW is a non-profit organization. Its stated goal is the promotion of mutual co-operation in the economic sphere, particularly between small and medium-sized Chinese and German companies.

Up-to-date Information adds to your success in the China trade

The DCW organizes information seminars on a regular basis in various cities. These feature outside speakers from business and politics as well as German and Chinese members. The focus of these seminars is on subjects of particular interest to medium-size companies. The range of practical subject matter stretches from business opportunities to co-operation, including joint ventures, to legal and tax questions and discussions of current developments in the People's Republic of China. The contributions of Chinese foreign trade associations and the partner provinces of the German Länder (provinces) also add to better understanding of China. The DCW also maintains close contacts with ministries, business associations and other institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany, Europe and China.

The information seminars are complemented by the journal "China-Telegramm", which is published on a regular basis every second month. The goal of this journal is to provide members with information about the economic situation in China, new laws, the activities of German and Chinese companies and business opportunities.

Furthermore the bilingual (German and Chinese) Annual Report provides extensive information about economic, political and legal developments in China.
